CELEBRATING ROBBIE ♡

Today was a very special day for Robbie.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Robbie and his family have been part of our centre community since Robbie was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Robbie, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your willingness to help the teachers. Whether it is helping to tidy or helping with an activity, you always seem to be ready and willing to lend a hand. We love how you give things a go and try your best in everything you do. We love your kind and gentle nature and your welcoming smile Robbie.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy reading and listening to stories. You enjoy participating at mat times, especially when the Owl Babies Story is being acted out. You can be found doing puzzles, playing with the trains, creating with playdough and sometimes dancing to music.

BELC HeartRobbie, you are very interested in learning more about constructing in the carpentry area and practicing your building skills. Your construction projects have also included using Mobilo, Duplo, Lego and wooden blocks. You are interested in technology as well and playing games on the iPads and the computer.

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in sharing your thoughts and ideas, compassion for others’ well-being, perseverance in completing the tasks you start. You are very reliable Robbie and we know we can count on your help, kindness and generosity.

BELC HeartRobbie this is our prayer for you as you transition to school:  We pray that your school journey will be a time of excitement as you explore and develop your interest in building and creating. We pray that you will make lasting friendships that will bring joy to your school experience. We will miss you Robbie. Jesus loves you.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Robbie, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
