CELEBRATING KORBYN ♡

Today was a very special day for Korbyn.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Korbyn and his family have been part of our centre community since Korbyn was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Korbyn, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your sense of humor. You are always up for a good laugh and you like to say things to make people laugh. We love that you are willing to give things a go and that we love that you are confident in sharing your ideas.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy being outside. Whether it’s on the truck, in the sandpit or on the swings, you love being outdoors. You also enjoy pretend play and you often create adventurous storylines in your play. You also enjoy learning new skills for creating in the carpentry area and you enjoy learning new information.

BELC HeartKorbyn, you are very interested in volcanoes and how they work. You are interested in technology and you like learning about computers and the iPads. You like constructing buildings and vehicles with blocks, Lego, Duplo and Mobilo. You are also interested in friendships and you enjoy being with others when you play.

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are friendliness, confidence in sharing your ideas, purposefulness in your play and with your creations, leadership, courtesy and consideration for others, understanding of others’ feelings and ideas, helpfulness and flexibility.

BELC HeartKorbyn this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your time at school will be full of opportunities to explore and learn. We pray that you will make lasting friendships that will encourage growth in your creativity and confidence. We pray that you will continue to find humor in situations and make others smile. We will miss you Korbyn. Jesus is with you my friend.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Korbyn, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
