CELEBRATING LEVI ♡

Today was a very special day for Levi.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Levi and his family have been part of our centre community since Levi was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Levi, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your loving and thoughtful nature. You seem to always be ready to give and receive cuddles and you also show your love for others by helping out when they need it. We love that you share your ideas with us Levi and we love your creative ways of thinking, planning, constructing and building.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy being active. You can often be found outside in the sandpit, on the truck, building a hut, making a road or playing catch with the balls. You enjoy Kapa Haka and of course you love the All Blacks. You also enjoy creating at the carpentry area and along with your brother Jake, the two of you have made many many creative constructions to take home to share with your family.

BELC HeartLevi, you are very interested in role play in the family area and usually you pretend to be a pet dog or you pretend to be a dad. You are interested in dressing up in the piu piu and swinging the poi to music. You are interested in being involved in group projects, especially when they involve paint, and you like to construct with the Mobilo and blocks.

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are patience when it comes to understanding how others feel and with turn taking, perseverance with difficult tasks, enthusiasm in your work, loyalty to your friends, compassion for others when they are hurt or needing help, and thoughtfulness in your work and your actions.

BELC HeartLevi this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your creativity will continue to develop and become an inspiration for others to share their creativity as well. We pray that you will make friends during your school journey that will bring out the best in you and that together you will be a blessing to each other. We pray that school will be a time of joy and fun! Jesus is with you Levi.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Levi, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
