CELEBRATING ISAIA ♡

Today was a very special day for Isaia.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Isaia and his family have been part of our centre community since Isaia was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

Isaia 1

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Isaia 2

Isaia, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your bright face and your welcoming nature. You love to smile and you love to see people smiling back at you. You have such a kind and gentle spirit and you are compassionate when your friends at preschool need help. You are able to come up with solutions to problems and you like to help others to solve their problems.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy playing in the sandpit, whether its digging with the digger, splashing in the water tor pretending to bake, you can often be found in the sandpit. You also enjoy being with your cousin Jack and together the two of you like to build, construct, paint and play in the water. You enjoy being active Isaia and you also enjoy being outside.

BELC HeartIsaia, you are very interested in including friends in your play and you are seldom playing alone. Family is important to you and you often talk about your parents, you brother and your cousins. You are interested in imaginary play and you often pretend to be on an adventure- camping, fishing, fighting fires etc. You also enjoy baking, both pretending in the sandpit or real baking with the teachers.

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are friendliness and inclusiveness towards all of the children at preschool, confidence in sharing your thoughts and ideas, consideration for others and how they are feeling or what they might be thinking, generosity in sharing both toys and sharing your knowledge, helpfulness when others need it and patience.

BELC HeartIsaia, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your time at school with be filled with excitement and laughter. We pray that you will make lasting friendships that will bring you joy and build up your confidence in sharing your ideas. We will miss you at preschool Isaia, and remember that Jesus is always there for you.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Isaia, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
