First Class Awarded Highest Possible Grade from Education Review Office!

Dear Parents and Friends,

We are very excited to announce that First Class Education and Care has just been awarded the highest possible grade from the Education Review Office (ERO).   Our First Class team and BELC management have worked incredibly hard over the last few years to achieve this result.  We feel very encouraged to have the results of this hard work recognised by ERO.

Every ECE centre undergoes a rigorous assessment and review by ERO on a regular basis.

First Class has received the highest grade of ‘Very Well Placed’.  This means we are not required to have another review for four years – a positive indication of the confidence ERO has in the team at First Class to deliver a quality service for children and their families.

What Does This Mean for Families?

It means that families can be assured that we honour each child and that we have a passion to see their children be affirmed in their uniqueness.  The report recognises this.

“Relationships between teachers and children are respectful and responsive to children’s need for education and care. Programme planning is visible in the centre and strongly based on children’s interests and preferences. The centre enjoys a low turnover of staff and this contributes to strong relationships evident in the centre between children and teachers.” ERO Report Excerpt 2015

Because we believe that relationship is at the heart of learning, it is very important to us to provide a high ratio of child:qualified registered teachers. We have made it a priority to exceed the minimum government requirements in regards to ratios and we believe this is a key part of helping your children to thrive.

A Huge Thank-You to Our Teachers

Many of our teachers have worked hard personally to progress along the professional pathway of gaining a teaching qualification, and gaining provisional and then full registration.

Our teachers have a genuine passion and drive to provide effective quality experiences for the children in their care.  They often give up precious personal time to go above and beyond the call of duty. This report is a real credit to them.
