CELEBRATING ZOE ♡

Today was a very special day for Zoe.  Today was her graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Zoe and her family have been part of our centre community since Zoe was four years old.   Now it is time for her to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Zoe, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC Heart

Some things that we love about you are your bright and joyful personality. You always seem to have a smile on your face and you enjoy being happy. We love your kind and friendly nature and how you are mindful of others. We love when you share your ideas with us Zoe and how you share your knowledge with others.

BELC Heart
We’ve noticed that you enjoy being active and you can often be found on the playground climbing on the planks, going on the slide or swinging on the swings. You also enjoy dancing especially when the Frozen music is on and when there are friends to dance with. You will often find a cape and pretend to be Elsa or Ana from the movie.

BELC Heart

Zoe, you are very interested in sand play and creating with sand, water play both in the sandpit and the water troughs and being outside. You are also interested in baking especially making pizza. You enjoy working on the iPads and you are interested in music and musical instruments.

BELC Heart
The character virtues we have seen you develop are friendliness, confidence in communicating, confidence in your balance and coordination, care and sympathy for others, willingness to explore new things, generosity in sharing preschool toys and resources with others, and creativity in expressing your ideas in different ways.

BELC HeartZoe, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your school journey will be full of excitement and adventure. We pray that there will be many opportunities for you to explore and learn to express your creative ideas. We pray that you will find friendships that will build you up and bring you joy. We pray that Jesus will shine through you as you share your friendliness with the world.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Zoe, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
