CELEBRATING HAYDEN ♡

Today was a very special day for Hayden.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Hayden and his family have been part of our centre community since Hayden was four years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Hayden, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your creativity. When you take the time to make a picture, you put a lot of thought into it and there is usually a story behind you work. We also love your willingness to share your ideas, whether it is in sharing news from home or how to problem solve at preschool.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy drawing and making artwork, making presents for your family in the carpentry area and block building. And of course you enjoy being with your cousin Brody and the two of you are often on adventures together pretending to be pets or police who help catch the ‘baddies’.

BELC HeartHayden, you are very interested in writing your name and we have seen your handwriting develop over the past few months. You are interested in puzzles, constructing with Lego and Meccano and you are interested in technology and working on the iPads. Also you enjoy being active outside: climbing, swinging, sliding, and running.

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are patience in understanding others’ point of view, perseverance with challenging tasks, purposefulness in your work, caring for your cousin and helping him when he needs it and your ability to communicate your ideas and thoughts.

BELC HeartHayden this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that school will be a time for developing life-long friendships, where your friends will bring out the best in you. We pray that you will have joy in exploring technology, that you will be inspired to develop your skills and interests and that there will be opportunities to express your ideas. Jesus is with you Hayden and He loves you dearly.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Hayden, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
