CELEBRATING JACK ♡

Today was a very special day for Jack.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Jack and his family have been part of our centre community since Jack was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Jack, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your kind, gentle and loving nature. Children enjoy being with you and your polite manner has helped you to make many friends here at preschool. We love watching you create whether it is artwork at the easel or building at the carpentry area. We love how you like to explore in order to build your knowledge and understanding.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy building vehicles at the carpentry area, with the Lego and with the Duplo and mobile. You also enjoy puzzles, reading stories with the teachers and creating with playdough. Whenever there is a new activity or resource at preschool, you love being involved and trying things out.

BELC Heart

Jack, you are very interested in people. You enjoy playing with anyone and you make friends easily. You also like to talk about your family and the fun that you have at home. And of course having your cousin at preschool as well has been wonderful and the two of love being together!

BELC Heart

The character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in communicating your ideas and feelings, leadership in working with children on building projects or playing games, caring for others when they need help, generosity with taking turns and sharing, responsibility, kindness and compassion.

BELC HeartJack this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your school journey will be a time of fun, exploration and excitement. We pray that you will make friends who will bring out the best in you and that your friendships will be lasting. We will miss your lovely nature and big bright smile at preschool Jack! Jesus is with you my friend.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Jack, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
