Today was a very special day for Caleb.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Caleb and his family have been part of our centre community since Caleb was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Caleb, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your lovely smile and friendly nature. You always seem happy to be at preschool and happy to share your ideas. You also have a great sense of humour Caleb and you love to laugh and play with your friends.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy creating all sorts of vehicles with the mobile and you quite often make them so that they transform into something else. You enjoy ‘cooking’ in the sandpit and have often made cakes and cups of tea for your friends and the teachers. You also enjoy sports.

BELC HeartCaleb, you are very interested in rugby and you have told us about how much you enjoy playing rugby at home with your brother, sister, mum and dad. You are interested in diggers and other type of machinery and you have shared your experiences on nana and grand dad’s tractor.

BELC HeartThe character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in communicating with others, friendliness, helpfulness when you saw a need, kindness, patience in waiting for your turn, and self-control in making good decisions.

BELC HeartCaleb, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school:  We pray that you have a wonderful time at school and that you will continue to be a shining light for Jesus. We pray that you will grow to be a confident communicator and that you will make lasting friendships.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Caleb, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
