CELEBRATING ARAMA ♡

Today was a very special day for Arama.  Today was his graduation from Amazing Place Preschool!

Arama and his whanau have been part of our centre community since Arama was six months old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At Amazing Place Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. The child gets to sit on a special decorated chair wearing a crown!

Sometimes the family of the child brings in a cake, sometimes, we make one in the morning together with the children. The child is presented with their birthday card and we all sing them happy birthday and cheer as they blow out their 5 candles.

The child’s key teacher then shares some of the special things about the child and shows some photos of their preschool journey from their profile book.  Finally, the child is presented with their profile book, artwork and their very own children’s bible which has a special message written inside.

Arama, we have loved getting to know you.

heart-smlSome things that we love about you are that you are full of character. You show love for your brother and sister daily by the Tuakana-Teina relationship you have with them.

heart-smlWe’ve noticed that you enjoy embracing dress up and event days. You show a thirst for knowledge by asking a lot of academic questions on all subjects. Your laugh and sense of fun is infectious – it is a gift you give to others around you daily. You love sharing stories about your whanau and what you got up to on the weekend.

heart-smlArama, you are very interested in Kimochi’s (feelings characters), bugs, cars, animals, angry birds, robot shark on daddy’s phone. You like to use your imagination to create. You can use a stick or fern to make anything!

heart-smlThe character virtues we have seen you develop are mastering skills such as confidence, respect, a love for your two younger siblings that were born while you have been with us and your God given gift of joy and compassion for others.

heart-smlArama, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: that your confidence in who you are shines through in your growth and development at your new school. Remember to pray and trust in God when feeling unsure in your new school environment. We will all miss you but just remember we will always love you as Jesus did when he gave his life for our sins.

Arama, it was our pleasure to do all of this to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
