CELEBRATING SONJA ♡
Today was a very special day for Sonja at Bethlehem College Kindergarten. Today was her graduation! Sonja and her family have been a wonderful part of our centre community. Now it is time for her to go to primary school.
At Bethlehem College Kindergarten we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation ceremony.
The child’s journey at kindy, their interests and virtues are shared at this time. The other children are able to contribute to the celebration and a bible is presented to the child.

Sonja, some things that we love about you are your bouncy energy as you approach each task. Your acceptance of each person, often observing and voicing positive observations of them. We love your joyful, generous attitude to life and the honest answers you give. You really are a treasure Sonja!
We’ve noticed that you enjoy animals, especially little piggies – we won’t tell how many pig projects we have done at Kindy! The animal dress ups (horse, dogs, crocodiles) have all been well used by you for all kinds of games and inspiration. You enjoy drawing and painting especially, but will try all kinds of ways to use your creativity. You enjoy the outdoors and being active too – gymnastics, swings, bikes….and shining in the cross country!
Sonja, you are very interested in bringing colour and creativity into whatever you do. Because of this you don’t shy away from giving it your best shot when it comes to creative processes and skills, and often generously share your ideas, inspiration and understanding with others. You are interested in story telling in all kinds of ways – puppets, playdough, dressing up, books, or conversation.
The character virtues we have seen you develop are caring, encouragement, enthusiasm, joyfulness, flexibility, generosity, kindness, thankfulness, humility, friendliness, forgiveness, determination, purposefulness and integrity.
Our prayer for you is that you will settle quickly into your new classroom routines and enjoy the opportunities to extend your learning as you engage in activities at school. We pray you make long lasting and special friendships and accomplish many great things as you develop your unique and God given potential. Sonja may you grow in God’s wisdom and love.
