CELEBRATING RYAN ♡

Today was a very special day for Ryan.  Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Ryan and his family have been part of our centre community since Ryan was three years old.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Ryan, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your kind and friendly nature. You have been very accepting of everyone around you and you take on a challenge with confidence and a willingness to find solutions. You are willing to give things a go and try out new experience too.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy building, especially in the carpentry area, whether it’s with nails or glue you seem to have the knack for figuring out how to use materials in order to bring your ideas to life. Your creativity has been astounding and your attention to detail has resulted in projects that are very life-like and colorful.

BELC HeartRyan, you are very interested in the carpentry area but you also enjoy creating with other materials and you don’t mind just using paint, glue or a pen to get your ideas onto paper. Ryan, you also enjoy pretend play, flax weaving, baking, dancing and block building. And let’s not forget your interest in fishing.

BELC HeartThe character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in speaking and communicating your ideas through speech, generosity in sharing your time, materials and ideas with your friends who wanted to build and create with and alongside you. We have also seen your helpfulness, gentleness and friendliness grow as you have developed friendships at preschool.

BELC HeartRyan, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school:  We pray that your interests and skills in the area of building and creating will expand and that you will be given the time and space to share your ideas. We pray that you will develop lasting friendships with people who will support your growth and help you to be the person that God wants you to be. We can’t wait to see how your creativity will impact your school community!

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Ryan, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
