CELEBRATING MATTHEW ♡

Today was a very special day for Matthew at Bethlehem College Kindergarten.  Today was his graduation! Matthew and his family have been a wonderful part of our centre community.   Now it is time for him to go to primary school.

At Bethlehem College Kindergarten we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation ceremony.

The child’s journey at kindy, their interests and virtues are shared at this time.  The other children are able to contribute to the celebration and a bible is presented to the child.

Matthew, we have loved getting to know you.

Matthew, some things that we love about you are the way you embrace each day with expectations of friendships to be made, fun to be had, and learning to be experienced.

We’ve noticed that you enjoy engaging with your friends in many areas of play. You love to build in the sandpit, ride the bikes and be part of imaginative play. Also you love to create with our duplo, work on puzzles and set up and play board games. You also love to play sport when we set up sports activities.

Matthew, you are very interested in finding out how to play games that require using your memory, playing by the rules and being quick to win! You also love experiments where we learn about how things react together –especially when you get to have a go!

The character virtues we have seen you develop are Confidence, persistence, friendliness, cooperation, forgiveness, righteousness, faithfulness, service, helpfulness, empathy, caring and initiative.

Our prayer for you is that as you transition to primary school you continue to grow and develop into the amazing young person God has made you to be. That your transition goes smoothly and you make some great new friends and that you accomplish many great things as you develop your unique and God given talents.
