CELEBRATING SHIRLEY ♡
Today was a very special day for Shirley at Bethlehem College Kindergarten. Today was her graduation!
Shirley and his family have been part of our centre community since August 2014. Now it is time for her to go to primary school.
At Bethlehem College Kindergarten we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation ceremony.
The child’s journey at kindy, their interests and virtues are shared at this time. The other children are able to contribute to the celebration and a bible is presented to the child.
Shirley it’s our pleasure to send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
Shirley, we have loved getting to know you.
Shirley, some things that we love about you are your great sense of humor and ability to share funny stories and jokes. We all love to laugh! We love the way you include other children as you work on creative projects and share the resources you are using. We also love the way you gently handle our pets and willingly help to care for them.
We’ve noticed that you enjoy creating great pictures with lots of detail that tells a story. Painting is also an activity you enjoy. Shirley you ride the bikes around the bike track with great balance and confidence. You enjoy math’s activities where you sort by color, size and shape. You also enjoy activities where you make patterns such as puzzles, shape boards and small blocks.
Shirley, you are very interested in sharing about your family and how you help your mum at home. Shirley you are a great observer noticing what is happening around you and sharing in detail what you see. This is evident in the detail we see in your amazing pictures. You love to count and participate in math’s games where your attention to detail helps you set and solve problems, make comparisons, notice patterns and think logically.
The character virtues we have seen you develop are Helpfulness, Kind hearted, Creative, Caring, Considerate of others, Gentleness, Patience, Purposefulness, Thankfulness, Service to others and Encouragement.
This is our prayer for you as you transition to primary school. Shirley, I pray you will settle quickly into your classroom, learn lots of new and interesting things, and make long lasting and special friendships. May God bless you and may you grow in his wisdom and love.
