CELEBRATING EMILY-ROSE ♡

Today was a very special day for Emily-Rose.  Today was her graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Emily-Rose and her family have been part of our centre community since Emily-Rose was three years old.   Now it is time for her to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Emily-Rose, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC Heart

Some things that we love about you are your kind and friendly nature. You have made many lasting friendships at preschool and you seem to be able to adapt to any situation. We love how independent you are Emily-Rose and how you like to try things for yourself and problem solve.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy playing in the family area. Whether you are dressing up and pretending to be a mum, a cat or Queen Elsa, you enjoy pretend play and creating storylines for you and your friends to act out. You also enjoy making artwork, painting, collage, gluing, and using the glue guns. You have become very fond of writing your name as well.

BELC Heart

Emily-Rose you are very interested in people, friendships are important to you and you enjoy spending your time getting to know others. You are interested in being active and you enjoy crossing the monkey bars, climbing and sliding, and going on the big swing with your friends. You are also interested in learning in every aspect of preschool.

BELC Heart The character virtues we have seen you develop are friendliness, responsibility for looking after your friends and compassion for their needs, confidence in communicating your ideas, creativity in your play and work, determination to finish tasks that you set for yourself, and patience in understanding your friends’ ideas and taking turns.

BELC HeartEmily-Rose, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your school journey will be full of opportunities to explore and create as your interest for knowledge grows. We pray that you will quickly make strong friendships that will bring out the best in you and we pray that your friends will be inspired by your ideas. We will miss seeing you and your family Emily-Rose. Jesus is with you.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Emily-Rose, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
