CELEBRATING BAVLEEN ♡

Today was a very special day for Bavleen.  Today was her graduation from St Andrews Preschool!

Bavleen and her family have been part of our centre community since Bavleen was three years old.   Now it is time for her to go to primary school.

At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.

We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.1

The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey.  We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool.  They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.

Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.

Bavleen, we have loved getting to know you.

BELC HeartSome things that we love about you are your creativity and communication skills. We have noticed that you like to spend your time in the art area using paints, glitter and glue in order to bring your ideas to life. You have made friends quickly and easily through your willingness to share your thoughts and ideas and your lovely smile is very inviting.

BELC HeartWe’ve noticed that you enjoy dressing up and enjoying imaginary play in the family area. You often like to play with Taranjot, Tanveer, Linda and most recently your little sister Gurleen. Usually you are pretending to be the mum who looks after the babies. Your caring spirit shines through your play.

BELC HeartBavleen, you are very interested in literacy especially when it comes to writing your name. We have seen you develop this skill and we have been very impressed with how quickly you have learned how to write many letters of the alphabet. You can quickly spot the letters of your name in stories and other writings.

BELC HeartThe character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in communicating with others, friendliness, helpfulness, kindness, gentleness, loyalty, caring for others, and generosity.

BELC HeartBavleen, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school:  We pray that you have a wonderful time at school and that you will continue to grow in confidence with communicating. We pray that you will make many lasting friendships and find joy in learning as you journey through school.

May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.

Bavleen, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!

We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
